Commenting Policy

The pen is mightier than the sword, and by “pen” I mean keyboard. So, before you comment on a blog post, bear in mind the following:

1. You can disagree with anything you read here – post or comment – but make sure you do it constructively and respectfully. Get your point across without taking cheap shots or swearing and it won’t get moderated. (Note: you’re even less likely to be moderated if you make an account. You look less like a troll.)

2. The choice to delete a comment is not up for debate. We respect your right to free speech, and you are welcome to create your own blog or post your views on a different forum. At the end of the day, though, this is the library’s blog; it is responsible for ALL of the content posted here, including your comment. If we think it’s offensive, it has to go.

3. We want to know what you like and what you don’t – about the blog, about the library, and about the books we feature. Just make sure that when you tell us, you give us the why behind your opinions. That’s the key to a good conversation, and positive change!
